Robert S Galvin, MD
Dr. Robert Galvin is the Chief Executive Officer of Equity Healthcare (EH). Before joining Blackstone, Dr. Galvin was Executive Director of Health Services and Chief Medical Officer for General Electric (GE) for fifteen years, where he was in charge of the design, financial and clinical performance of GE’s health programs. He was also responsible for health policy strategies affecting employees. Dr. Galvin is a nationally recognized leader in the areas of market-based health policy and financing, quality measurement and payment reform. His work has been widely published in the New England Journal of Medicine and Health Affairs and he was a co-founder of the Leapfrog Group and founder of two other groups, Bridges to Excellence and Catalyzing Payment Reform, all innovative non-profits that have helped drive the quality agenda.
Dr. Galvin is a member of the Institute of Medicine and sits on the IOM’s Board on Health Care Services. He is also on the Board of Directors of the National Quality Forum and a member of the National Advisory Council for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). Dr. Galvin is Professor Adjunct of Medicine and Health Policy at Yale. His work has received awards from the National Business Group on Health, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Blake Zenger is the Chief Informatics Officer of Equity Healthcare. Mr. Zenger is responsible for managing the information infrastructure and leading consultative analytics to generate improvements in benefit plan performance for the Equity Healthcare participating companies.
Before joining Equity Healthcare, Mr. Zenger worked at Thomson Reuters and Mercer specializing in health informatics, data warehousing, decision support systems, benefit performance metrics, and report design. Over the last 7 years he has been running his own successful informatics company consulting to such organizations as The Mayo Clinic, Health Dialog, and the BCBS Association. In addition to strong technical and analytic skills, he is one of the sector leaders in creating customized and usable health management information. Mr. Zenger received a BS from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
Charles Huang is the Chief Finance and Financial Analysis Officer of Equity Healthcare. He is responsible for analyzing, quantifying, and reporting on the value delivered by Equity Healthcare’s innovative customized care model to private equity firms and their portfolio companies, both financially and clinically. Charles has over a dozen years of multi-disciplinary healthcare experience, notably around healthcare finance, strategy, analytics, and reporting.
Before joining Equity Healthcare, he worked in venture capital focusing on health technology investing and actively supporting healthcare portfolio companies of Spark Capital. Prior to that, while completing a dual master’s degree program in business and public administration, he helped contribute to the growth of a number of VC/PE backed healthcare companies in the areas of strategy, operations, and clinical informatics/reporting including Generation Health and Accelecare Wound Centers. Before graduate school, Charles was a Manager in the Strategic Financial Planning group at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and also previously worked in the health consulting practice at Towers Perrin. He has co-authored several Harvard Business School cases and notes on healthcare innovation, payment, and policy. Besides his MBA and MPA from Harvard, Charles holds a BA in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.
Michelle Harika is the Chief Clinical Officer at Equity Healthcare. Michelle is responsible for the oversight and results of the Equity Healthcare dedicated clinical units operated by multiple vendors. She leads improvement strategies established by clinical data analysis and vendor partnership to generate increased value for the Equity Healthcare participating companies.
Before joining Equity Healthcare, Michelle worked at WellPoint where her primary oversight and responsibilities included clinical care center operations, performance monitoring and improvement strategies. Prior to WellPoint, Michelle’s clinical practice focused on diabetes education and management for which Michelle holds specialty certification. Michelle is a former board member of the Richmond Pharmacists Association and past president of Central Virginia Association of Diabetes Educators. Michelle received a doctor of pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia.
Jennifer Arches is an Assistant VP at Equity Healthcare. Jennifer is responsible for analyzing and interpreting the available healthcare data and information across EH’s broad range of portfolio companies to maximize the value that the EH participating companies receive from their health plans. This includes maximizing the performance of the EH model to both manage company costs and improve member health and productivity. Before joining Equity Healthcare, Jennifer worked at Tyco International Management Company, LLC, as the Manager of Health & Welfare Benefits Analytics. Prior to Tyco, Jennifer spent seven years at Buck Consultants as a Health & Productivity Consultant. Jennifer received a BS in mathematics from James Madison University.
Fadwa joined The Blackstone Group as assistant to CEO of Equity Healthcare, Dr. Robert Galvin. In this role, She works with all members of Equity Healthcare (EH) to implement key initiatives and interfaces with customers and suppliers.
Prior to Blackstone, She served as Executive Secretary to the Ambassador and Investment Relations Coordinator at the United Arab Emirates Embassy. In this capacity, She served as the main liaison between the Ambassador and various investment Holding Companies of the U.A.E. She speaks four different languages, received a Bachelors degree in Marketing, and holds a Masters of Science in Integrated Marketing and Communications from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
Diana Childs is the Project Coordinator of Equity Healthcare. Diana helps coordinate and implement strategic initiatives to improve Equity Healthcare operations and service, in collaboration with EH customers, suppliers, and PE firms.
Prior to joining Equity Healthcare, Diana spent several years working at New York Presbyterian Hospital in hospital finance and patient experience consulting. Other previous positions include international public health management consulting in the Dominican Republic and researching the relationship between political regimes and health outcomes. Ms. Childs holds a Masters of Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.
As the Equity Healthcare operations and innovation leader, Karen has overall project management responsibility for all aspects of the Equity Healthcare model; working on the identification of best practice solutions, monitoring and measuring operational excellence and implementing strategic initiatives to improve overall model performance. She is actively involved in vendor contracting, negotiations and has overall responsibility for vendor relations. She serves as an active participant in the sales process and is a member on the Equity Healthcare Employer Advisory Committee. Karen leads the Equity Healthcare team of consultants and also works with portfolio companies and their advisors on the development of specific benefit designs, incentive strategies and other integrated initiatives. Karen has more than 30 years experience in healthcare consulting and executive management and has worked with over 50 of the nations Fortune 500 companies in her tenure as has served on several industry and carrier advisory boards.
Nikki Delke is an Operational Analyst with Alliant is part of the overall Equity Health team. She supports the development, implementation, and management of the Equity Healthcare initiative. To fulfill this role, Nikki provides both analytical and administrative support to the Equity Healthcare team for both the initial implementation and for various ongoing consulting activities. Nikki is instrumental in the coordination of activities for the annual Equity Healthcare Employer Summit, C-Suite presentations and for the Equity Healthcare quarterly newsletters. She also works directly with John Lurz on sales. Ms. Delke’s expertise in this area includes several years of practical operational working experience in a variety of industry related organizations.
